bunker diaries pt. 6

10.19. My classroom, in between sessions. Auguste Lumière was born today in 1862. The trainee wears a perfume that tries to take me back across the line. I may have to request her transfer.

10.21. Under the saguaro. On this date Samuel Taylor Coleridge and Dizzy Gillespie were born. Also, Ursula K. Le Guin, Lux Interior, and Carrie Fisher. Big day for important births. Not such a big day around here, I’m afraid. All the clocks in this facility suddenly stopped working. I need to learn about the history of timekeeping. I may sign up for a correspondence course in horology. Who am I kidding…there are no correspondence courses.
